Habitat and Distribution

Found from coastal dunes to dry woodlands.

About the animal:

  • Small to moderately large day time lizard;
  • The name bearded dragon is derived from the beard-like extension of the neck that dragons display when they feel threatened;
  • Bearded dragons will stand on their back legs to run from danger;
  • Lays up to seven eggs;
  • Head bobbing is a sign of dominance.

What they eat?

Feeds mainly on invertebrates.
